Notice the desk has been organized.I've organized the fabric under the sewing machine and I still have more to put somewhere. Sheesh! I have no idea where to store it all. I'm thinking of asking the hubby to make a table to connect to my desk near the sewing machine. The white desk here is what I have been using to cut my fabric. I need something bigger. As long as I can get Sweets to make the extra desk to connect to it I can store the rest of my fabric there. We will see what I can talk him into. :)

I've entered a contest.....
To win a jogging stroller. Lord, knows I could definitely use this, especially if I want to lose weight before baby # 2. I'm hoping I win. It will definitely come in handy when we go for hikes since we don't have the proper carrier for Little Miss. Head on over and enter to win!

Goodbye Boat! :(
Well the hubby decided to trade in our boat for a bike. Yes it will save us money on gas but I'm kind of sad. We've had the boat for about 3 years and we've had fun times. Since we've had dd we've only been out on it once together, so I guess it's time to do something with it. :/ I will miss it. DH is pretty excited about the bike. When he gets something in his head we usually end up with it. There is no saying no. Here's to good times on the bike for dh. :) He keeps telling me we are going out on the bike together but I'm good. I don't like the idea of getting in an accident on the bike. People drive too crazy for that. I'll stick to our jeep. :) Well I hope you all are having a blessed fourth! :)

Boredom has set it so I had to find a way to send it packing......
I was pretty bored and walked in my craft room to finish up the dress I started for Tempie last night. Well my sewing machine would not have it so I was back to boredom. I looked around and saw my glue gun and thought what can I make with this? Since I'm really wanting to make this dress for Tempie I thought what if I did a no sew dress? Then I thought do you know how long that would take with glue gun? Yeah, not my best idea! I still wanted to do something with that glue gun. ;) Well I had an amazing idea to make a no sew bib. Here's what I came up with.
What you'll need:
1/2 yard of fabric
1/2 yard Ribbon
Scissors
Glue gun & extra glue sticks (I went through about 4 glue sticks
Thread & a needle (I know I said no sew but you will need it for a small piece at the end)
needles
pattern ( or you can make your own, I just happened to have this one laying around)
Gem or bead whatever you prefer
Now that you have that, your ready to go. :)
Fold your fabric in half if it isn't already. Iron out your fabric.
Next your going to set your pattern out and stick it to your fabric with your needles. Bt the way I didn't end up using the zebra print ribbon so don't worry about that piece.
Then your going to cut it out. The only reason mine is not lined up I forgot to take the picture so I set it back down real quick.
Start glueing and folding it over.
Here's what it should look like. Do this all the way around. Do the same with the other piece.
Next your going to put your ribbon on (wherever you want). I chose near the bottom because that's where I thought it looked the best.
Once you've glued all the way to the edge, turn it over.
Now glue the ends to the back.
This is what it should look like.
Now you're going to glue both sides together.
Here is what it should look like when you get done gluing it.
You should have some left over fabric. Your going to take about a 3" wide and about 12" long. Iron it out and fold it in half long ways. Iron it out again.
Next your going to thread your needle. Your going to do a straight stitch at the very bottom. Once you've sewn to the end pull the thread tight so it looks like a very tight ruffle. Hold it in a circle and sew it so it looks like a flower. Tie off your thread.
Now your going to glue your gem to the flower.
This is what it should look like.
Here is your finished product. I think it turned out great. What do you think?

Yesterday my friend E came over to craft. It wasn't our normal craft day so I was pretty excited. She brought her sewing machine over and we set up. She made a dress for my daughter. We finished it up and she left. I stayed in the craft room crafting away. I finally went to bed and watched some hair tutorials on my iPod for our upcoming "unbirthday party" we have been talking about doing. I stayed up till 1 am watching these videos. Needless to say I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer and fell asleep with iPod in hand. As I was watching the vidoes my mind was going everywhere thinking of making a dress for T. I actually woke up with my mind going 90 to nothing. I think I was actually thinking about it in my sleep because I came to a few times thinking of things to do, lol. Well this morning I got up and got Miss T up fed her and went to work in my craft room. A few times I felt like giving up because my sewing machine. UGH! At one point I was sewing by hand. I finally got it done and here is the finished product on my little model. :0) I think she is very happy with my work. I'm pretty proud of myself because I didn't have a pattern to follow. I'm ready to do another. Maybe this weekend, tonight I promised E I would start on a quilt for craft night. :0)
She has been asking me to quilt with her so I finally gave in and said yes. :0) But I made her promise she would learn to crochet with me. She finally gave in. Well I am off to see what else I can get into.

It's been a long while
It's been a long while since I have blogged and it will probably be the same next tie round. :) Let's see what has happened since the last time I visited.
Tempie is now 16 months. Last night she had her first experience with the potty. Although nothing happened she was acting like something was about too in the shower. We sat in there and sang songs and talked. My mom has always told me it should be a fun experience. She told me last night that someone had a 4 year old that was scared of the toilet. Yeah, I think I would be just a little upset if we went that long with no potty training. :/ I'm hoping to start potty training as we speak. We should be getting Tempie her own potty soon. :) I'm very excited about this process.
Cassie has managed to get out the yard on numerous occasions. We've had a hard time catching her. A few times we just waited for her to come back. We try not to chase her too much when that happens so we dont chase her to the end of the subdivision to the highway. Cassie definitely has a free spirit. She's such a happy dog.
My Father-in-law passed away at the beginning of May and we had to travel up north for the funeral. Two 16 hour trips with a 16 month old and 2 dogs, what fun! I think the whole ride up Tempie slept maybe a total of 6 hours. She was a real trooper. The ride back I think was 8 hours. She did get a little cranky but not too bad. DH was asking should we stop when we were about 6 hours away. I told him no because when we got up the next morning from the hotel she would just be real angry having to be back in the carseat. So we toughed it out and finished the ride. I had a great time considering why we were there. I really hated to leave family. We haven't seen them since 2006. I wanted just 1 more day, but DH was ready to be home. I was so glad to be home. I think the trip home was much longer than going there. DH made me stay awake and keep him up but then he got upset when I wasn't talking to him. I told him he wasn't talking to me either. Needless to say we got cranky with each other.
Well I think that's all the catching up for now. Till next time. :0)

Weight Loss continues
Well to start off I know I said I would post every week and obviously that hasn't happened. I have been continuing the weight loss journey, however. It's a hard thing to do. For Christmas I got a Wii Fit Plus from a family friend. That helped to start off my working out although I don't do it everyday. Saturday my husband and I went shopping and we saw the EA Active 2 Personal Trainer. We decided to get it so I could try it out. It comes with a heart rate monitor, a leg monitor to monitor your movements and a tension cord ( I think that's what it's called). Well 2 days in and it is kicking my butt. I definitely feel it. Wish me luck as I continue to lose weight.
